Lawn Top Dressing

Lawn Top Dressing combines washed sand and soil with a basic fertiliser. It is suitable for top dressing new or established lawns, supplying a sand-and-soil blend with fertiliser already included.

Supplied in bulk and sold by the tonne.

Usage

Spread a light, even layer over the lawn and brush the material into the grass so the blades remain exposed. Choose an application depth appropriate to the condition and growth stage of your lawn.

How do I calculate the tonnes needed?

Enter the lawn dimensions and your chosen depth in the calculator. It calculates the volume, then estimates weight using the lawn top dressing factor of 1.35 tonnes per m³. For example, 20m² at 10mm deep is 0.20m³, or approximately 0.27 tonnes (270kg).

Why is the calculated tonnage an estimate?

The conversion uses a general lawn top dressing factor. Moisture and compaction can change the weight of a given volume, so confirm your quantity before ordering.
