The Sharp Shooter Organic Weedkiller ready-to-use spray is a herbicide that does not contain glyphosate, a chemical commonly found in weedkillers. Its formula is designed to control weeds such as barnyard grass, camel melon, capeweed, chickweed, common storksbill, couch grass, clover, fat hen, giant brome grass, Indian hedge mustard, lambs tongue, pepper cress, potato weed, perennial ryegrass, sowthistle, stinking roger, whorled pigeon grass, algae, moss and lichen. This spray is suitable for use in various areas, such as gardens, driveways, paths, buildings, and lawns as a spot treatment. It acts quickly to control weeds, but it must come into contact with the plant's green parts to be effective.

This herbicide is considered organic and a contact herbicide, and it contains pelargonic acid, which is also known as nonanoic acid. Pelargonic acid is a natural plant oil that has been converted into an acid. This acid occurs naturally in plants such as geraniums. When applied to the foliage of a plant, pelargonic acid causes the plant to quickly dehydrate and collapse. Visible signs of the herbicide's effects, such as browning and wilting, can usually be seen within a few hours of application. Additionally, the herbicide is non-residual and biodegradable, meaning that it breaks down quickly in the soil and does not leave any lasting residue. Furthermore, it is safe to use around edible produce, and there is no withholding period required when used according to the product's directions.
