Rapid Set concrete is manufactured using cement, sand and aggregates and is formulated to harden rapidly without mixing. This product is highly suitable for fixing fence and non-load bearing pergola posts, clothes hoists and many other non-structural uses.
Applications
- Cloths Line
- Letterbox
- Posts
- Uprights
- Other non-structural concreting works
Instructions
Step 1 Place the post or pole in the hole and provide support so that it does not fall over. Note: the hole in which the pole will be placed should be pre-wet to limit the absorption of the water into which the Rapid Set Concrete is to be poured. Sandy and/or fast draining soils may require a plastic lining to prevent seepage of water into the ground.
Step 2 Measure out the correct amount of water and pour into the hole (2.4 litres per 20kg bag)
Step 3 Pour the bag of Rapid Set Concrete making sure it is evenly distributed around the post or pole without delay. Supports may be removed after 1 hour, depending on the ambient temperature. It is advisable to test the stability of the post before removing the supports.
